# Billing

The Billing area shows your organization’s complete commercial picture with Dispel — what you’ve purchased, when those services run, what you’ve used, and which add-ons are available to you.

## Overview

Billing is organized into three tabs: **Overview**, **Payment Details**, and **Order History**. Each tab surfaces a different cut of the same underlying contract data, so you can answer questions ranging from “what does my plan look like today” to “when did my Premium Support tier start” without leaving the page.

**What you can find here**

* The current and upcoming service period, with the exact start and end dates and a countdown to the next renewal.
* The payment method on file and, where applicable, the channel partner you are billed through.
* The Dispel sales representative assigned to your account, with their name, email, and avatar.
* The full list of products and quantities you have under contract, grouped by order, with their service period dates.
* Add-on modules — those active today, those scheduled to activate in the future, and those still available for purchase.
* Your support tier (Basic, Premium Support, or Mission Critical), including any pending tier changes and the date they take effect.
* A historical timeline of every line item across every order, so you can see at a glance how the relationship has evolved.

### Overview tab

The Overview tab is the default view and gives the most at-a-glance picture of your plan.

#### **Plan Summary**

A horizontal bar at the top of the tab provides a top-line overview of your account, including:<br>

* **Service Period.** The start and end dates of your current contract term. If your contract has not yet started but you have an upcoming service period, this label changes to **Upcoming Service Period** and shows the future date range.
* **Next Renewal.** The number of days remaining until your current period ends — or, for upcoming periods, the number of days until it starts. If you are beyond the end of your service period this field shows **Expired**.
* **Payment Method.** What payment method your organization is using. More details, including channel-partner relationships, lives on the Payment Details tab.
* **Support Tier.** The active support tier — Basic (Included), Premium Support (24/7), or Mission Critical (24/7). If your contract includes a tier upgrade or downgrade scheduled for a future date, the field shows the current tier on the left and the upcoming tier on the right, along with the effective date.
* **Channel Partner.** Shown only when your organization is billed through a channel partner. The partner’s name appears as a separate field next to Payment Method.

**Account Contact**

Adjacent to the Plan Summary, the Account Contact card displays the Dispel account representative assigned to your account.

#### **Products**

The Products table lists everything you currently have under contract, grouped by order:

* Each order is introduced by an **Order ID** so you can see which line items belong together.
* Within an order, every line item appears as a row with its product name, quantity, and service period (start date — end date).
* Orders that have not yet started appear under an **Upcoming — Order ID** divider in the same table, immediately after the active rows.
* Active add-on modules that aren’t tied to a specific line item — for example, included features bundled with your plan — appear under an **Active Add-Ons** divider, with a clickable **See included features** pill that opens a feature list for that module.
* Quota adjustments made by your Dispel account team appear under an **Adjustments** divider, with the effective limit and an **Adjusted** badge that links to a tooltip explaining the override.

#### **Features & Add-ons**

The bottom section of the Overview tab is a grid of cards covering every Dispel feature module relevant to your account:

* **Active** — products you have today.
* **Activating** — products you have purchased that have not yet started.
* **Available add-on** — products not currently part of your plan.

Manual activations (granted directly by Dispel) are tagged **Manual**. Trials are tagged **Trial** with a remaining-days indicator.

### Payment Details tab

The Payment Details tab focuses on how invoices are issued and collected.

**Service Period**

The same Service Period information shown on the Overview tab is repeated here for context, alongside the days-remaining countdown.

**Payment Method**

A dedicated section explains exactly how your organization pays:

* **Invoice customers** see the standard Dispel invoicing flow — invoices are issued by Dispel and paid directly to Dispel.
* **Channel customers** see the name of the channel partner that handles their billing. Invoices in this case are issued by your channel partner. If you are a channel customer, this section is the canonical place to confirm which partner you are billed through.

**Dispel Finance**

A Dispel Finance card carries the legal entity name on your contract along with the contact information your accounts payable team needs to complete tax and invoicing information.

### Order History tab

The Order History tab shows a history of your orders in Dispel.

**Contract Timeline**

A horizontal timeline visualizes your order service periods on a calendar axis spanning the earliest order start to the latest order end. This is useful for seeing when different features and services became available or ended.

**Deals List**

Below the timeline, a Deals List lays out each order in card form: deal name, order ID, contract term, and a breakdown of every line item in the order. Channel-partner deals carry a tag indicating that, so finance teams reading the list know which orders flowed through a partner.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://docs.dispel.com/integrate-and-administer/billing.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
