# Delivery & Acceptance Documentation

Dispel produces two contracting documents — the Delivery Certification and the Acceptance Certification

## Overview

When a Dispel service period activates, Dispel issues a Delivery Certification recording what was delivered and on what date. When your organization acknowledges receipt, Dispel produces an Acceptance Certification capturing that acknowledgment.

**What Dispel provides**

* A **Delivery Certification**, issued on the service period start date and emailed to the designated billing contact.
* An **Acceptance Certification**, generated when a billing-authorized user acknowledges the delivery in the Dispel customer portal — or, if no acknowledgment is received within 30 days, issued under the deemed-acceptance terms of the Enterprise Subscription Agreement.
* Document-integrity features (SHA-256 payload hash, RFC 3161 timestamp token) and a verification URL printed on each document.

{% hint style="info" %}
The Delivery and Acceptance Certifications are separate from your invoice. They establish that the service was delivered and accepted; the invoice is the document for payment.
{% endhint %}

#### Delivery Certification

Dispel generates a Delivery Certification on the service period start date and emails it to the designated billing contact(s).

#### Acceptance Certification

Dispel generates an Acceptance Certification when a billing-authorized user clicks **Acknowledge** in the Dispel customer portal. If no acknowledgment is received within 30 days of the service period start, an Acceptance Certification is issued under the deemed-acceptance terms.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://docs.dispel.com/integrate-and-administer/billing/delivery-and-acceptance-documentation.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
